D2: Shattered Realm Forest of Echoes










Here are the applicable modifiers for the higher difficulty level of this activity. Gamers need to counter each type of elemental shield, and both types of champions:

  • Modifer ⇢ Description
  • Power Level ⇢ 1320
  • Equipment ⇢ Locked
  • Champ Unstoppable ⇢ Unstoppable Phalanxes
  • Champ Overload ⇢ Overload Hobgoblins
  • Match Game ⇢ Enemy shields highly resistant to unmatched elemental damage
  • Chaff ⇢ Radar disabled
  • Shields ⇢ Arc Taken Centurion, Solar Taken Knight, Void Taken Wizards & Acolytes

Elements

Fireteam members can each specialize in an element, or go generic with a weapon that can break any shield. In the first beacon encounter, the focus will be on dispatching adds! The second beacon presents plenty of enemies, so good defences and crowd control is necessary. A Stasis weapon may help. Additionally, FOE is generous with mid- to long-range engagement opportunities, so a ranged weapon will likely come in handy.

Weapons

Here are a few viable weapon choices for FOE enemy engagement:

  • Arbalest ⇢ exotic/kinetic Linear Fusion Rifle: can break all shield types
  • Traveler's Chosen ⇢ exotic/kinetic Sidearm: kills generate energy for abilities
  • Hard Light ⇢ exotic/energy Auto Rifle: can cycle through solar, arc & void
  • Borealis ⇢ exotic/energy Sniper Rifle: can cycle through solar, arc & void
  • Le Monarque ⇢ exotic/energy Combat Bow: fires poison arrows that spread to nearby enemies
  • Ticuu's Divination ⇢ exotic/energy Combat Bow: hip-fires 3 tracking arrows & follow-on shots explode enemies
