D2: EDZ Obelisk Bug

Bungie's Destiny 2: The EDZ Obelisk
According to Derek Nichols of GameRant, Destiny's Season of Dawn seems to have some major bug issues, although Destiny players have been generally receptive to season 9 offerings so far.

Unfortunately the hot fix 2.7.0.2 did not materialize as planned, and according to Bungie, the patch is being delayed a bit longer. In the meantime, players can enjoy the extra damage the Wish Ender exotic bow is meting out . . . at least until the patch is deployed.

Back to the EDZ Obelisk. Bungie community manager DMG04 recommends that, "if you cannot interact with the Obelisk, turn around (move away from it), and then approach and try again. If that doesn't work, head to another area on your sparrow, turn around, and try again."

Bungie Help said, "We are investigating an issue where some players cannot interact with the EDZ Obelisk. Some players have reported that manually leaving and re-entering the area, returning to orbit, or clearing the console cache have worked as temporary fixes."

Some players have also found that waiting at the Obelisk also works . . . which may require that players just stand and wait for the button prompt to appear, a pause that may take up to 5 minutes.

UPDATE: Bungie announced that hot fix 2.7.0.2 will occur today (January 16th) from 3 PM Eastern (12 noon Pacific), and downtime will last about 1 hour.
