The Revelry spring event also features a 700 power linear fusion rifle called Arbalest that is an easy way to get 700 power fast. Here are the details for this Revelry event:









Revelry

— 3 weeks long: runs from April 15th to May 6th
— host vendor is Eva Levante (located in the Tower's Bazaar)
— 2 new armour sets + ornaments: Verdant Growth, and Inaugural Revelry
— exclusive exotic weapon (Arbalest: see below)
— new activity, the Verdant Forest
— new buffs for fast grenades, class abilities, and meleé recharge
— precision kills for tons of super orbs (Note: disabled in Gambit, Gambit Prime, Raids,
     and Competitive Crucible due to Guitar errors)
— double Bright engrams
— 5 daily and 5 weekly bounties
— other assorted items (75 Revelry Essence [RE])
— rare (blue) gear, enhancement cores, planetary mats, Revelry armour, and Revelry ornaments

Verdant Forest

— time-based and [potentially] infinite
— precision kills add more time to event
— every room cleared adds to the number of "Branches"
— every Branch completed increases the time to kill bosses
— up to 5 bosses at the end
— each boss killed gives a loot chest at the end; up to a maximum of 5 chests
— loot chests drop 10-15 RE, glimmer, blue gear, and possibly Revelry gear
— loot chests can spawn in any room, and add extra paths with 5-15 RE
— each team member should pick up loot chests (big thanks to 'drumr')
— Strategy: spam supers to give supers + ad-clearing for supers

Supers

— Arc Staff (Hunters), Nova Cataclysm (Warlocks), Fire-Forged Hammers (Titans)
— focus on head-shots for Revelry orbs to give supers
— go for 20-25 Branches, then (actually) jump into the 'abyss' to go directly to boss fights

Arbalest

— exotic kinetic linear fusion rifle (attack = 700)
— needs special ammo
— costs 7 triumphs + 300 RE
— deals extra damage to shields and disruption break
— fast charge rate of 533
— very low aim assistance
— takes about 3 grinding hours to acquire

Revelry Essence (+/- 1)

— earned from various activities + Verdant Forest
— Verdant Forest: 5-15 RE/chest, 10-15 per/end chest (fastest method)
— Strikes: 16
— Nightfall: 16-17
— Crucible: 11-13
— Gambit: 16
— Gambit Prime: 13
— Escalation Protocol: 3
— Reckoning: 15
— Heroic Public Event: 6
— Forge win/fail: 8/2
— patrol only: 2

Triumphs

— 12 triumphs for 0 score
— last triumph gives emblem
— Party Hard for 7 triumphs, gives access to Arbalest
— Avoid: Verdant Light — Competitive, Budding Fashion, and Bountiful Spring
— mostly involves different activities and getting Revelry orbs: meleé, grenade kills
     + Verdant Forest progress
— grind
— Strikes: grind the Nightfall with the most ads, such as Lake of Shadows, Hollowed Lair, etc.
— grenade kills with the grenade buff (via tonic)
— meleé kills with the meleé buff (via tonic)
— Note: Crucible grind is hard!
