D2: How to set up Cross Save

Houndish video: 6m 25s
Although we are ahead of Shadowkeep and New Light, and there will undoubtably be some content changes between now and then, regardless ... it's now possible to select one of your accounts as your primary, and play it on Xbox, PC or Playstation.

In this video, Houndish gives us a good overview of the Cross Save function and how it works ... including some restrictions. The Cross Save page is live on Bungie.net at:

https://www.bungie.net/7/en/CrossSave

Note that if you have characters on PC, you will be required to migrate your account to Steam (or unlink your Battle.net account). This process will set up your account on Steam in preparation for the Cross Save procedure.

Activating Cross Save requires an authentication process. That is, for every account that's linked to Bungie.net, you will need to sign into Bungie.net to authenticate each one. Once authentication is completed you will need to choose your active characters, which must be on a single platform. Characters that get left behind will not be deleted, and there is a way to access them again.

Once you've selected your characters on the platform of your choice, you will get an opportunity to review the set up. If you have accumulated Silver, the balance will be shown for each platform, including the DLC content that you own, etc.

Note also that the Clan associated with your selected character account, will be the Clan chosen during the Cross Save process. If you're happy with your character selection, go ahead and hit the "YES, DO IT!" button.

Congrats! Your Cross Save is now active. Your character progress will be reflected across linked platforms.
