Destiny: What D1 did better!

Houndish video: 10m 37s
Gamer-reviewer Houndish discusses what he thinks may be missing D2 ... relevant to "stuff" we enjoyed in D1, but that haven't materialized in the latest iterations. This video explores opportunities for Bungie to bring back old content, albeit in a new format.

However, Bungie have been doing some amazing things with D2 ... Shadowkeep looks really exciting, we've got Armor 2.0, the new artifact system ... and back in year two, we got that huge Forsaken drop, the title system, new progression, weapons updates, Pinnacle weapons, end-game locations ... and the list goes on. So it's certainly unfair to say that D2 hasn't grown or improved significantly during it life-cycle ... but, there are some things from D1 that set a really high standard, and perhaps D2 hasn't yet reached that "quality" bar.

For example, strikes and strike-specific loot in D2 has experienced major pass-over by Bungie (something that Bungie also recognizes), and certainly hasn't reached that high bar set by D1 strikes. We got some fantastic armor and weapons from D1 strikes, and even skeleton keys that guaranteed excellent loot drops. Moving into the Armor 2.0 era, there is speculation that strikes may definitely be on Bungie's radar for significant improvement.

What else is missing in D2? Faction vendors need more love ... and they need to get back to work! We miss our weekly rolls, faction rallies and pledging allegiance for rewards. How about the Gunsmith's "Arms Day?" Echoing Houndish's thoughts, "... certainly rather have old factions, than no factions."

For those who enjoy PvP, Houndish details some of the end-game issues that many Crucible players are concerned about. There's also an interesting discussion about collections, in terms of weapons and gear.
